Polynucleotides in Buxton

Polynucleotide injections are considered for selected skin-quality concerns. Product choice and treatment area require an individual assessment. Consultations and treatment are provided by Dr Sing at Buxton Dental.

Suitability and contraindications

Adults aged 18 and over, subject to individual assessment. Avoid treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding or with active infection. Some products are fish-derived, so fish allergy and other allergies must be discussed.

Expectations, limitations and risks

They may improve the appearance of texture or fine lines, but evidence is still developing. They do not remove sun damage or guarantee under-eye improvement. Temporary bumps, swelling, bruising and tenderness can occur. Infection and allergic reactions are possible; persistent swelling needs review. A course may be suggested, with gradual and variable changes. Skincare, sun protection or no treatment may be more appropriate.

Aftercare and review

Keep the area clean, avoid rubbing or make-up initially and follow advice on exercise and heat. Contact the practice for increasing pain, redness or swelling.
