Dermal fillers in Buxton
Hyaluronic acid fillers are injectable gels used to address selected areas of volume loss or definition. Planning considers facial proportions rather than a standard volume. Consultations and treatment are provided by Dr Sing at Buxton Dental.
Suitability and contraindications
Adults aged 18 and over, subject to individual assessment. Treatment is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding or with active skin infection. Allergies, previous fillers, immune conditions and medicines require assessment.
Expectations, limitations and risks
Fillers may alter contour and soften some folds, but cannot correct substantial skin laxity. Swelling can obscure the early result and symmetry cannot be guaranteed. Risks include swelling, bruising, infection, lumps and migration. Rare blockage of a blood vessel can cause tissue damage or loss of vision. Duration varies by product, area and individual response. Some filler can persist longer than expected. Dissolving is not a risk-free or guaranteed reversal.
Aftercare and review
Avoid pressure, intense exercise and excessive heat for the period advised. Severe pain, pale or mottled skin requires immediate clinical advice; visual disturbance needs urgent medical help.
