I started my career teaching modern languages at Morecambe High School, and came back to Derbyshire in 1995 after starting a family. In 2000 I retrained in Speech Pathology and Therapy at Manchester. I work now as a Specialist Children's Speech and Language Therapist for a Local NHS Trust. I was delighted to join the practice with Martin in 2012 working as part of the support team. In my spare time I enjoy walking the local hills, usually followed by a coffee and a cake!, also Pilates, cooking, playing the piano and singing in a local church choir.
I joined the practice in 2005 to train as a Dental Care Professional. I qualified as a Dental Nurse in March 2008 and have since developed my experience and skills both clinically and also in management. In 2010 I took on the role of Practice Manager at The Buxton Dental Practice.
In early 2012, I married my partner Paul. Outside of my working hours I enjoy cooking, crafts, walking and cultivating my local allotment with Paul.
Currently in 2017, Till November 2017 I am enjoying my Maternity Leave with our newborn, Freya
I joined the practice in July 2010. I have since gained my NVQ in Dental Nursing in January 2013. I enjoy working in the orthodontics clinic which we run on a Thursday. In 2014 I passed my exams in Dental Radiography qualification allowing me to take x-rays.
Having just got married earlier this year, I'm enjoying setting up home with Kyle, and when not in work I enjoy keeping fit and socialising with friends.
I joined The Buxton Dental Practice working part time in March 2014. I qualified as a dental nurse in 2010.
I have recently moved back to Buxton with my family, originating from Yorkshire. I have gained a wide range of experience over the years and work with both the dental practitioners, hygienist and orthodontist.
Outside work I like to spend time with my little boy Alex.
I Joined the practice in April 2015, when I was looking for an opportunity to find a new, interesting and challenging career. I am currently in the process of registering with the GDC after completing the training for my NVQ Dental Nursing qualification.
I am really enjoying my new work, and everyone has been so welcoming.
I joined the practice in January 2017 as a Trainee Dental Nurse, having been a patient of Martin's for many years.
I am currently doing my induction training, and then will register to train for my Dental Nursing qualification.
I have 5 years experience with the St Johns Ambulance Cadets, where I reached position of Corporal, I've already completed my 'Safeguarding training' and Basic First Aid training, and become a first aider at the practice.
In my spare time I enjoy dancing and I'm training to become a dance teacher
