At the Buxton Dental Practice we are always keeping patients updated with our news and developments.

Dec 2017 - The practice has recently undergone a Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection in which the practice was inspected and analysed for its standards and quality of care. We are pleased to say that the practice passed the inspection with flying colours! We like to keep the communication from patients very regular so we always provide ways patients can provide us with any feedback which is always welcomed.

Nov 2017 - We've been looking for the best candidate to replace to replace Dr Parry, and hope to have the new Dentist in place for November, paperwork permitting, watch this space.  

Michelle Smith, our Practice manager is to return following her maternity leave. Michelle has loved her time getting to know her baby girl, but is looking forward to getting back into the groove at the dental practice, we're certainly looking forward to having her skill, knowledge and support in the team back.

Oct 2017 - We will close the practice for the afternoon on Friday 20th October to welcome Dave Edwards, who will put us through our paces on dealing with Medical Emergencies in the Dental Practice. Dave mixes enthusiasm, skill and knowledge for a great training session. If you need this training in your workplace, we highly recommend him,  go to

Sept 2017 - Dr Rachael Parry Leaves . We have loved working with Rachael, a great enthusiastic professional, and we wish her all the best for the future. 

June 2017 - We welcomed schulke this week for 3 hour infection control and handwashing training afternoon.

June 2017 - We would like to congratulate our acting practice manager Charlotte who has recently got married! we wish her and her new husband a lifetime of love and happiness 

May 2017- Our nurse Chelsea has just passed her final exam and is now a fullqualified dental nurse.

April 2017 - Joanne Bradbury our hygienist has now started her maternity leave so we welcome Toni Goodwin to the practice who will me covering Joanne's maternity leave.

April 2017 - Our nurse Kate Hine has left us to follow her dream of becoming a hygiene therapist we wish her all the best on the start of her course at Sheffield university

January 2017 - We would like to give a warm welcome to our newest member of the team Cathryn. Cathryn is joining us as a trainee dental nurse.

November 2016 - Congratulation to our practice manager Michelle Smith and her husband on their arrival of a baby girl!

October 2016 - Lovely news our hygienist Joanne Bradbury and her husband are expecting their first child. She plans to take her maternity leave between April and August. During this period Joanne's collegue Toni Goodwin has agreed to join us all day on a Tuesday.

October 2016- Congratulation to Kate Hine for becoming a qualified dental radiographer, she has also been accepting into Sheffield university to become a hygiene therapist.

September 2016 - Good luck to our nurse Kate Hine who took her radiography exam at the weekend. Only a few weeks to wait until she gets her results!

July 2016 - We are supporting Denplan's brush up for summer campaign. Pop into practice for free brushing charts and dental passport for children and for those with great oral hygiene or have made a huge effort to improve their oral hygiene you may be nominate by your dentist to go into our draw for the chance to win an Oral B toothbrush (or £10 cash alternative).

June 2016 - Congratulation to Evvy Harwood for becoming a qualified dental radiographer and Kate Hine for becoming a qualified oral health educator

Evvy Harwood has just enrolled on a radiography course for DCPs to increase her knowledge and skills in this area. This qualification will allow her to take dental X-ray views as prescribed by one of the dentists. 

Finally, Dr Syed Hader has decided his journey from the Manchester area is become a little too onerous, and so he has decided to explore new work opportunities nearer his home. As a result he will be leaving us by Sept 2015. We have loved working with Syed, a great enthusiastic professional, and we wish him all the best for his future.
