On my qualifying from Manchester Dental School in 1989, Gill and I spent 7 years in the Morecambe area, before a young family lead us to return to our roots and set up home in New Mills. At this time I joined The Buxton Dental Practice. While working at the practice since 1996, maintaining  my core role as a family dentist, I've also graduated with a Diploma in Law, managed the North Nottinghamshire postgraduate Dental Education Tutor for the SYEM Dental Deanery, annually organising and running a series of training events for Dentists in the area till my resignation in 2014.

Keeping up to date has always been important to me, and with this in mind in May 2015 I sat the second examination, and successfully completed the Diploma of Membership of the joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Scotland.  Outside of work, Gill and I love country walks with our Border Collie, Gema. I love mountain biking, and playing 6 a side football each week. In our quieter moments, a nice meal out and a good film tick all the boxes.

I qualified from Newcastle Dental school in 1990. I settled in Buxton with my family and joined The Buxton Dental Practice in 2001. Alongside my practice in dentistry I have a keen interest in Orthodontics and provide treatment to several of my patients in this area. I have also enjoyed working with Dr Williams, specialist orthodontist since she joined the practice in 2012. This has given me a great opportunity to broaden my skills in this area, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Outside of work I enjoy cooking, gardening and walking in the Lakes. Also when the weather is fine I occasionally like to sail in my boat.

I originally qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2005. I then gained qualifications in Oral Health Education and Dental Radiography before continuing my studies at Sheffield University Dental School and graduating in 2009 as a Dental Hygiene Therapist. I joined The Buxton Dental Practice as a Dental Hygienist in 2009 and work alongside the dentists here. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and also helping my husband out on the farm. We have several chickens which keep me busy and well entertained as well as providing us with a morning supply of fresh eggs!
